"Above all, my goal is to have my results look natural."
-Dr. Yamahata
"When I viewed the before and after gallery on his website, I completely made up my mind that he was the one I wanted to perform breast augmentation on me. The surgeries that he has completed are the very best I've ever seen, in any city or state I've searched- in the entire country. They look the most natural! EXACTLY what I wanted."

"Dr. Yamahata is an amazing surgeon with years of experience and patient results that match. I had a breast augmentation with him about 3 months ago and received beautiful results. He is very thorough with his explanations and responses to questions. Prior to my preop appointment I had a whole list of questions and ended up not having to ask a single one because he answered them all."

A: The most used implants contain either silicone gel or saline.
Silicone gel-filled breast implants are durable, flexible, and feel most like natural breasts.
Saline-filled breast implants are inserted into the body and then filled with sterile saltwater (saline). Saline implants tend to feel firmer than silicone.
Dr. Yamahata may also use fat transfer as an alternative to implants, although this typically isn't the best choice for most patients. The increase in volume using fat transfer is rarely over one cup size, and most patients find this volume increase inadequate.
Q: What Does Breast Augmentation Cost?
A: Breast augmentation is highly customized to your specific needs. Your breast augmentation cost will depend on the breast implants you choose, where your surgery is performed, and several other factors. At your consultation, we will provide you with a detailed price estimate that you can take home to consider.
Q: Where Will the Incisions be Made?
A: The incisions used during breast augmentation surgery vary depending on your anatomy, the type of implant used, and which approach will give the best result.
In general, there are three incision locations for breast augmentation surgery:
A periareolar incision is made around the edge of your areola (the colored area surrounding your nipple).
An inframammary incision is placed in the crease below each breast.
A transaxillary incision runs along the edge of your armpit.
A: Most people return to work about a week after breast augmentation. You can expect some discomfort and swelling for the first 2 or 3 days after the procedure, which is well-managed with pain medication. In the weeks following surgery, your breasts will continue to heal and settle into their new position. You'll probably need about 4 weeks off from low-impact exercise and another 3 or 4 weeks before resuming strenuous activity like running.
Q: What Should I Expect from Recovery?
Q: How Long Do Breast Implants Last?
A: The average lifespan of breast implants varies by patient but is typically between 10 and 20 years.
